What is Tori?
Tori is Metorik's eCommerce AI sidekick – a clever analyst built right into Metorik that fetches questions about your Shopify or Woo store's sales, customers, products, marketing, and profit, then leads you to the actual report and data behind the answer.
How much does Tori cost?
Tori doesn't cost anything extra. Tori is included with every Metorik subscription, on every plan, and with unlimited usage (fair use policy applies). There's no add-on fees, per-message charges or tokens to monitor.
Who on my team can use Tori?
Admins, editors, and analysts can all use Tori. It's even fenced in by each user's existing Metorik permissions, so enabling Tori only allows your team to see what they already can.
Does Tori work with both Shopify and WooCommerce?
Yes. Tori works identically for Shopify and WooCommerce stores, including stores using WooCommerce Subscriptions. Tori loves to fetch your MRR stats and churned subscriptions!
Can Tori change my store data?
No. Tori's access to your store data is strictly read-only, by design. It can update the Metorik interface when you ask — applying segments, changing dates — but it never edits orders, customers, or anything on your commerce platform.
How is Tori different from Shopify Sidekick?
They do different jobs. Sidekick focuses on managing your store's backend, products, content, and settings. Tori focuses on everything after the sale – analytics, reporting, and marketing, and because Metorik tracks your ad spend and costs, Tori can answer profit questions Sidekick can't see.
Is this the same as Metorik's MCP?
No. Tori is built right into Metorik. The Metorik MCP connects external AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT to your store data. Both are included with Metorik, and they work happily side by side.
What languages does Tori support?
Ask in any language and Tori will answer in it. You can also use your microphone and just talk instead of typing.
How accurate are Tori's answers?
Tori answers using Metorik's reporting engine, the same numbers you see in your reports, and links you to the source, so you can always verify how an answer was found.
Is my store's data safe?
Tori is disabled by default. It can only access your store's Metorik data once you (the store admin) has enabled it, and you can disable it again at any time. Tori never touches anything outside your own Metorik account.
Why "Tori"?
It's been hiding in plain sight the whole time: MeTorik. Plus we're quite big fans of fried chicken at Metorik HQ 😉 Totemo oishii!
