Many businesses use SKUs (stock keeping units) as a number to keep track of their products and manage inventory. So for example, if a product has several variations (i.e different colours or sizes), then each variation would have a different SKU for identification. Similarly, digital and physical products could have different SKU prefix identifiers.

Both Shopify and WooCommerce have the ability to add SKUs to products, and we can then use Metorik to filter reports based on these.

Filter by SKU

By default, the Orders report will show you data for all the successful orders. We can filter the report by clicking the Segment Report button at the top.

After clicking that button, you will see the Segmenting Tool which will allow you to segment the report with 100s of unique filters. In this case, we can use the Line Item SKU filter:

After pressing the Segment Orders button, the report will now only show orders that contain these SKUs.

We can now order containing these SKUs grouped by Billing Country, Billing State, Billing City, and Billing ZIP.

Additional stats

There are of course lots of other grouping options, so for example, we can look at New Customer Orders v Returning Customers for those SKUs:

Even by payment method and currency.

Just like when segmenting your orders directly, you can add as many filters as you want to customise the report to your exact needs.
